Ορυμαγδός, (latinized as Orymagdos, meaning a deafening loud noise) initially started as a solo project from John "WhimpKiller" during the black pandemic era of 2020. Afterwards he teamed up with Vaggelis "PoserCrusher" on drums and they recorded the S/T album, released in 2022 on vinyl. The music orientation of the band, was a blend between metal and punk - influenced by the sound of Venom, Discharge, Exciter and Midnight. The demand for live presentation of the material was high, so right after the release, Orymagdos line up was enriched with George "IronBeast" on vocals and Stathis "Morbid Impaler" on the bass guitar. The quartet, consisting of experienced members (playing also in bands like Sacral Rage, Violent Definition, Indico, Yakuza, Antidrasi etc.) but mostly being good friends for many years, ended up into delivering killer live shows during 2023 in the majority of Greek cities. Also, Orymagdos, participated in the biggest Greek DIY festivals "Punk Against Capitalism" and "Metal Solidarity" - playing with bands like Instinct Of Survival (GER), MOB 47 (SWE), Ancst (GER), Dissekerad (SE) and many other, local and foreign acts. The band will continue to spread their "electified metal punk" tunes on many other shows for 2024, while also composing their next album.. Let the drill spin like hell!
